Jon Singleton is in his second season as the Varsity Boys basketball coach at Tyler Street Christian in the Oak Cliff area of Dallas,Texas. He served as interim head coach for the first half of the 2006/07 season and
was appointed to the permanent position for the 2007/08 campaign.
Jon served as Lead Assistant coach with the Shady Grove Lady Saints for three seasons before joining Tyler Street.
Jon, in final season at Southwestern, led the Red River conference in three-point shooting (51%) and finished in the top five in the nation.
Jon, as a prep athlete, led Shady Grove Christian school to back-to-back State championships (1996/97 and 1997/98) and was twice named the TAPPS (Texas Association of Private and Parochial Schools) 3A player-of-the year. He was also MVP of the state tournament and selected by both the Fort Worth Star-Telegram and Morning News to their All-Region team for three consecutive seasons.
Jon completed his Shady Grove career with 2,556 points (second all-time and in the top thirty in the history of Texas high school basketball), and an 18.8 career scoring average. He holds the school record in the following career statistical categories:

- Steals 354
- Three-pointers Field Goals 229
Shady Grove--during Jon's career-- won 46 consecutive conference games and posted a sizzling 15-2 (882.) record in playoff games. He is one of 75 players in Texas high school history to score over 2000 points and grab more than 1000 rebounds in a career.
